Sometimes despite our best efforts, life just gets in the way. Some common reasons why these services may be of help to you and your animal are:

Work commitments
​
Full time work may mean that your animal is alone for long periods of time. For some animals, 8-9 hours at home may work just fine, especially for those that can be housed outside. Others may be indoors and require a quick toilet break, fresh air and or exercise. Sometimes work may keep you away for longer, as with the case with seasonal jobs such as vintage and crop harvest and fly-in-fly-out work.

Separation Anxiety
​
Your animal may suffer from mild to severe separation anxiety and require a little more love and attention than the average pet. A Pet Check may be just what they need to sooth and calm their nerves in your absence.

Travel
​
Maybe you have an independent pet that does not require you to house them with a friend, family member or boarding facility while you are away. Maybe they just don't do as well away from their normal environment. Pet checks are ideal in this scenario as they can remain in the comfort of familiar surroundings when travel means you can't be present.

Sickness or Injury
​
Life is good at throwing us curve balls. You may just require additional help with your animals in the unfortunate event that you become sick or injured.

Animal Health
​
Your animal may be in their later stages of live, suffer from a particular condition or illness or are recovering from a recent surgical procedure. Under these circumstances your pet may require a little additional love, care and attention or administration of medication when you can't be there.

Appointment Support Services
​
The Appointment Support Service enables your pet to be picked up from your home, transported to any health care appointment (vet, specialist, physiotherapy, hydrotherapy etc.) and dropped safely back home. Your pet will be transported and handled through the duration of the appointment with the highest level of care and compassion. A pet taxi service is also available to get your pet from point A to point B! This can be especially useful for transportation to and from boarding facilities or doggy daycare. All dogs will be transported in a comfortable car hammock and secured with a pet seatbelt. All other small companion animals must be secured in an appropriate crate or carrier.

(Calculated from the time of pick up until your animals return home, or for pet taxi services, the start location to finish location.)

Please note that upfront payment is mandatory at most animal healthcare facilities. This will require you to either photograph your card details to enable payment on your behalf, otherwise you will need to remain contactable by the facility to complete payment over the phone. This is important to ensure to your animal can be discharged/released from the healthcare facility.

Please note, walking will be cancelled or rescheduled in temperatures over 26 degrees. (This refers to the temperature at the time of day scheduled for the walk). This prevents the risk of heat stroke to your dog and burning paws on hot pavement. Likewise, walks will be cancelled or rescheduled if heavy rain is forecast.
